#176085 - thank for the comments!
Responding to: ???'s previous message
first im using the SES51 compiler (the kit),
the if(temp='0') lines do work.

i didnt gave the full code becuase the rest is not relevant,
the code need to get from the pc (RS232) first an ASCII number,
that will choose a latch, then a byte to go to the latch.

also theres a timer so every 10ms the mcu check if some legs are at 0.
if they arent the legs state is transmitted to the pc.

by delay i ment a function that will delay the mcu for a number of msec(like an empty for).
i didnt use any, but i saw some programs that use a few (20mse).

from the pc im using a kind of BASIC program, and the baud rate and the data order is set like the mcu. its also set for ASCII and regular bit.

the hardware is fine, so it shouldnt be it.
it might be the BASIC program becuase its normally used for GPIB, so i need to check it some more.

any more thoughts?
