#176036 - "I guess"?? Responding to: ???'s previous message |

I guess it is shoot through noise due to igbt inbuilt antiparallel diode, which is already ultrafst recovery time of @50ns.. I suggest to stop guessing and start analysing. Shoot-through is normally caused by the top- and bottom devices in a converter conduction simultaneously for a short period. Increased EMI is only one of several symptoms of this fault. Do you also notice low(er) efficiency? IGBT's heating up more than you'd expect? This application note from Fairchild might be of some use to determine whether your problems are indeed caused by shoot-through: http://www.fairchildsemi.com/an/AN/AN-6003.pdf I have snubber across primary of ferrite transforme. And that is the full extent of your EMI countermeasures? Rob. |
