Here's a simple test to check if your serial port is working
Don't connect anything to your serial port. Assuming you have a) set Hyperterminal for no Handshaking...as advised above. b) turned keyboard echo off Connect pins 2 & 3 together on the serial port (this is Tx and Rx). Now what ever you type on the keyboard should echo back on the screen. If you don't have this basic functionality working... then it it will be harder to debug. Joe |
