#174980 - NXP LPC17xx
Responding to: ???'s previous message

If you find a 32-bit processor with a UART which supports the 9-bit multiprocessor mode, you could use that...

The STM32 does; I think there are also Cortex parts from Atmel and NXP that do.
The TI (formerly Luminary) Stellaris ones do not.

The NXP LPC17xx has one UART with support for 9-bit operation with hw-acceleration for RS-485. Three UARTs without.

And two fast SPI interfaces with FIFO or DMA support.
