#171302 - I do agree but Responding to: ???'s previous message |
In fact at this stage of my project I don't really need wireless capabilities. I'm pretty sure the project level is about merit-distinction level at this stage without any Xbees and frills. Hell, to give an example of those 'frills', I'm using none of the ADC inputs 'cept DIN on the transmitter (End Device) if it can be viewed as such. I mean I don't need these features for my specific project. Those are all 'unnecessary features' for me. The next logical (and legit) question that rises to mind is "so why the XBees?" Well, like you said yeah they are popular. So one can find a lot of documentation/tutorials on the WWW. For a newbie like me that is a plus.
The reason I purchased the XBees is mainly just to experiment with them since I like electronics and gadgets. It's what I study and it's also a hobby. But well, let's face it gentleman the 'kewl' factor is (sadly?) important to give that extra 'fluff' to your project. The odds are that it'll improve the chances of getting a slightly better grade.
