Hello, I'm having trouble with the UART on an ADuC816 microcontroller (ADC). What trouble(s), precisely, are you having? Have you tried to debug this in the Simulator? Have you looked at the UART output on an oscilloscope? Have you read the FAQs here? There's a whole section on serial comms - including a "Beginner's Guide"... http://www.8052.com/faqs I'm trying to configure it correctly so that I can read that output of the Analog to digital converter on the computer when it's interfaced through the serial port (and possibly serial to USB). That sounds like you're trying to do far too much all at once! Start with a simple "Hello, World" program that just sends text to Hyperterminal (or whatever). When you have that working, extend it to receive characters. Once you have both send & receive working, then - and only then - integrate that with your A-to-D stuff... I'm using the Keil compiler but I can't seem to get everything configured correctly. Again: what, precisely, are the problems? How do you know it's (just) configuration? Have you tried the Keil examples? |
