The "X." response suggests to me that the bootloader is indeed running. Can you connect with Flash Magic and read the value of the status byte? My guess is that somehow the status byte has become set, which will force execution of the bootloader after every reset.
Are you using an external watchdog? I believe anecdotal evidence has suggested in the past that a lack of an external watchdog with some flash based microcontrollers can cause memory corruption. I would also look at VCC, ground, etc. to make sure you are well within the limits in the data sheet and nothing is marginal. Andy |
