There is a huge range of opamps and comparitors available that run on less than 5V. If you have a look at my parametric opamp selector it suggests 67 different dual opamps that run from 4V to 7V. The AD8032 looks like a good candidate, and draws only 0.75mA per amplifier for an 80 MHz GBW. The LM318 isn't really fast enough, as it only has a GBW of 15MHz, and it draws a hungry 4.5mA per amplifier.
