The reason for the large numbers of empty fields is most probably because the GPS has not managed to find any satellites and doesn't have any information to send to you. The $GPRMC string shows a time 000324.053 - probably just that it has been powered up for 3 min 24 seconds. The V says that it doesn't have a position. The date 140209 is probably started at some random firmeware creation date, since the module doesn't have a valid date to report. Do you have a powered - active - GPS antenna? Have you verified that you get any voltage to the antenna? Don't you think that it would have been a good idea if you had posted the manufacturer and model information of the GPS, and links to the relevant documentation? |
