If I had not used it, I would have had to implement something to manage the free space on the card, and also something to get the logged data off the card and into my PC (since that was my requirement). It has been done I know - I've done it! but why would one need it for a logger? Again, you don't need it - but there may be advantages to doing it. Yes, there certainly are also disadvantages; particularly in the size of the embedded code - but that may or may not be significant in this particular case... |
