I want to add I2C peripheral and PWM module to the T51, similar as you can find in industrial 8051 derivatives.
Given that Intel SFR bus was designed to extend the 8051 core to different flavours, this should be the start point. However, I wonder, given the age of the T51 IP core, why there are no SFR peripherals out there and some example VHDL code. I guess the commercial IP vendors, like Synopsis DW8051 core, Fraunhofer FHWG8051 come with some example SFR peripherals. Must be somebody out there who has written a few SFR peripherals for the T51 in VHDL =) |
