The spec can be funny. What is a signed letter? A- ?
PC LINT has an option to not report for signed unsigned for text, while still reporting for numeric variables.

Each one of these can be a discussion. In short a clean run of LINT is hard on an embedded system.
The OP will have to decide what to fix, what to keep and what warnings to disable (or add options to)
