Yes, Using IAP calls you can flash sections of the memory. Not sure how you will reboot , apart from external control.
What happens if you get a power failure 1/2 way through flashing the device.. how will you recover? At least with ISP and ICP... there are some ways to recover and reprogram the LPC900 device. ICP? If you are connecting a bigger micro to the LPC900 then why not use ICP ... it is the lowest "hardware" level of programming.... and you should be able to recover "any" LPC900. ICP is complicated and requires 7 x 50uS pluses to get in to ICP programming mode (ISP requires 3). [The protocol is "SPI like, I guess it uses MODE 0 of the UART of the LPC900 device] Notes: The ICP specification is in the file section of the LPC900 Yahoo group ICP - there is no support from NXP apart from the specification... (and the Flashmagic forum). So user beware. Joe |
