IF so, the techniques for measuring such physical properties are well established - what research have you done so far?

the sample for that instrument should be 2cm to 7cm.

Again, that makes no sense!

A real sample is going to have to be a 3-dimensional object - so, did you mean a cube of 2-3cm side?
