Hi Andy,
I don't disagree with what you said, but I do disagree with your application of that particular truth. Before you can define what your system will do, you need to know what it can do. It also helps to know how best to affect any given desired result. Even if one is only a software engineer (that is to say exclusively a software engineer), there are times that knowing how and when to write part of your program in assembler makes you a better programmer. This is even moreso (by orders of magnitude) true for anyone working with µcontrollers. Joe |
