#162947 - RTC DS12c887 Chip select |
hi i have interfaced P89V51RD2 with Ds12c887 in the following manner
P0 <---> AD0 to AD7 P2.5 <--> RTC !cs other connections gnd----Gnd Vcc=+5V for both !RESET of RTC to Vcc on micro controller side: Port 0 is pulled high EA/!Vpp, RESET connections are also correct. the device is getting programmed and the output is also correct. but here is the problem. no matter whether RTC chip select is high or low, I am able to read time through XBYTE macro.! I have seen it through the multi meter this i cannot understand. I am worried because, have connected LCD and Leds to the same port Please reply me. thanks in advance. |
