#161219 - Always full output frequency Responding to: ???'s previous message |
If you start at 10Hz, the connected equipment may burn since magnetic loads will get the magnetic core saturated and then fail to convert any more electric energy into magnetic energy.
You can soft-start a load by not generating the full output voltage directly. Instead gradually increase the output voltage. For a PWM with constant switch frequency, you just switch on with shorter pulse lengths. For a PWM with constant pulse lengths, you instead reduce the switch frequency, i.e. longer between the pulses. |
