#158851 - Metalink's no $MOD53 |
I'm studying the 8052 and so I went out and bought a development board with leds, and lcd display,a/d and d/a converter, etc. Here's my problem,it uses AT89S8253 chip and the free Metalink 8051 cross assembler doesn't support the $MOD53 control so now I can't type in the examples from the book that goes along with the board. I'd have to buy the guy's Cross Assembler or any other modern Assemblers like Pinnacle which has much more features for the same price.
So I was wondering is there a 8052 that I could replace the AT89S8253 so I could use the $MOD52 that Metalink supports? Any other ideas short of shelling out the bucks for another Assembler compiler? Randy |
