#99277 - calling tones control echo cancellers Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Guard tones allow v22, v22bis to work on some of the European networks. For the most part, these tones are not needed anymore. I believe the guard tone was used as a billing mechanism. I believe the guard tone would be issued by the answering device until a connection was made, then billing would occur. Calling tones control echo cancellers. |
