Hi Oliver,
Would it be possible to add rails to the edges of the board? You might also be able to incorporate cross-members that could support the board from underneath without extending down to whatever is preventing the addition of support points. Another option would be to incorporate a rigid core into the board. Frankly, I think extruded aluminum edge rails are going to be the closest to "off the shelf" you're going to find. Good luck, Joe |
