Hi Steve,
its been a long time since I have been here! While at heart I love the small black things that will do my bidding, practical compulsions force me to do something else like developing machine code in LabVIEW ...When you can't do what you love, its better to love what you have to do. Peace !! Thanks for responding. Yes looks like I have to do that only with a small PWM circuit driving the gate of a mosfet. Once this is done then I guess tuning the start up time is not a problem.
