#188382 - Whose air force?
Responding to: ???'s previous message
If it were the U.S. Air Force, I'd check TRW.

Many times custom numbers were used by "military-industrial-complex" firms in order to obfuscate what they were doing. If you could provide a pin count, package type, etc, it might shed more light.

There are quite a number of data acquisition device manufacturers that have been bought out or otherwise taken over. Sometimes you have little else to go on aside from shape and size. If you know anything at all about the pinout, e.g. where the clock, power, gnd, Vref, etc go, that could help, too.
