I gave them the benefit of the doubt that their claim, "un-matched processing power" could be just marketing hyperbole:

This makes the 89C450 microcontroller the worlds fastest pin compatible 8051 in the industry today Who cares about pin-compatible today? And, if you're using a board like this, pin-compatibility is irrelevant anyhow! If you drop the pin-compatible restriction, I don't think that the 89C450 is the fastest 8051-deviative in the industry today? I think Richard will point out that the 89C450 does have some unique feature of its own - so why not emphasise those, rather than this rather spurious one?! |
