#175344 - Most things exists - but how to combine? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
That wheel have existed for a great many years.
Locally, there is a company that since a great many years has patents on a skylift/raisable platform with these wheels, allowing it to run in any direction or to turn on a stamp. Most of the time, the technology is there. The problem is how to combine, and how to refine enough to make it into a final, sellable product. For this specific product, you can use not too advanced technology to make it keep the balance. But from "keeping balance", it's a huge step until making it so smooth and intuitive that the rider can ignore the operation. Notice the tiny sideways moves when the girls are looking at art - it's obviously not the first time they are using this thingy. A question then is if a new combination of existing technology should be patentable. If all it takes to work well is good computer programming - should the mechanical design have a patent? |
