The link you had sent for TAIE seems quite interesting. And as you rightly pointed out if you had used them in our 'environment' without issues then I guess it should be fine for me also. In fact most of the automotive companies for whom I develop test stands have very aggressive shop floor environs - heat and dust being the main culprits. In fact the ambient is now climbing towards 40 Deg C in Chennai and there is only so much you can do for keeping the 100s of panels and PCs cool on the shop floor.

It would be a great help if you can send me a mail giving the contact details in Chennai. Thier site does not have it. Looks like the FA series is a good option to use in panels.

I am glad I started this thread - just last week I was wondering if there was a general purpose process controller to suit my need ! Looks like there are many .
