#175092 - I think it's a legitimate question

uptil now i had to print ascii characters only... but now i have been told to print unicode characters ranging from 20h to ffffh

This sounds more like a coding question to me and not so much a hardware specific question. All the OP wants is a concept. It really should go into a coding forum, but everyone here is very versed in coding as is. The LPC2136 is a 32 bit ARM7TDMI-S, but maybe thats why you're so haste, as an 8051 advocate.

is using icu the correct option

I presume they are trying to imply whether or not they should be using a 32-bit core instead of an 8-bit core like the 8051; presumably to make the coding easier or possible.
