Actually, it is not interesting for me, but it's not the C thing - I believe there's always an option to fall back to asm, when it comes to it... ;-)
Would there be a need for it, I would be more scared about the PC- (or Mac- or any other-) side of the job, and also the way how standards do and don't work (or, more precisely, how various implementations of a standard do or don't follow that standard). I think that's where's the main benefit of the various FTDI chips (both the various devices and the Vinculum) and their associated "cloud". Note that they still will provide the "standard" firmware-s to the V2, to provide the same level of "comfort" as the V1 did/does. JW |
