The Original PSoC Compiler was the same. Did the OP say it was specifically an 8052 question?
Yes this does affect the ANSI use of the Keyword (it did in the PSoC anyway).
I Heard that the New ANSI spec covers the RAM ROM Issue. But if it does embedded compiler are slow to move up do to the anti-small system stuff that usually gets added in.
Any way I am speculating and the OP has moved on.
