#163416 - Using Holtek HT12D decoder with AT89S52
I am working on a project in which RF is the communication link between 2 8051,specifically Atmel AT89S52.To do so,i tried using the microcontroller's serial port and used a Tx-Rx 433MHz RF module pair(Rx module uses Himarx RX3310A IC).With this setup, i was unable to send data reliably, as a lot of garbage data(noise) crept into the main data stream. So, i decided to used an encoder-decoder pair(Holtek HT12E and HT12D) on the respective sides. On the receiver side, i want to hook the VT(pin 17 on HT12D) to INT0 and trigger a read sequence whenever data is latched to the HT12D's 4-bit data out pins and bring it into the microcontroller for processing. Is it feasible?
