#162503 - CF didn't available here. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hai
Thank you for info's Richard Erlacher said:
SD is easy if you don't mind going very slowly. However, since you pay for the "high performance" whether you use it or not, you should be able to use the 4-bit mode. However, the 4-bit mode requires a fair amount of interface-specific hardware. You can easily implement the interface in programmable logic (e.g. FPGA) but getting the proper specification is a pain. How's about CPLD? Richard Erlacher said:
As an intermediate step, perhaps you'd consider using CF in "true-IDE" mode. That can go pretty fast and is well specified. You have to implement the IDE interface anyway, so attaching a CF module (via a commercially available adapter costing, perhaps, $5US, should be pretty straightforward. Yes..that's very usefull information..Thank you. But CF card didn't available at local computers/electronics store. There are at e-store but I didn't have bank account/credit cards. I'm poor experimenter. I could used flashdisk for booting the OS which very common like SD/MMC. but I'm used very old computer which not able to load USB at started. So also..I'm looking information about how's to change Flash/EPROM(BIOS) old computer to load OS at USB. Is there information how's to change BIOS of old PC to boot at USB..? Richard Erlacher said:
A single-bit-mode SD interface can operate at up to 25 Mbits/second. If that's fast enough for you, perhaps that will be easier yet, as it is essentially an SPI. Nevermind..at least avoid the mechanical Hard drives(plain IDE/SATA HD). I'm dealing with RF at PC. My experiences..when VSWR or malicious of RF increased. It will damaged the plain HD first. Didn't used big box still very expensive. Any information about IDE to SD/MMC or changing old BIOS for booting at USB? Limited internet connection..:-( THank you very much Best Regards Jeckson Ben Makassar Indonesia |
