You might consider looking at a "real" oscilloscope. Many times, I've seen what might be a perfectly serviceable instrument for less than $50US. Freight cost is an issue, of course, but, in light of what rubbish is offered as "PC-interfaced" instrumentation ... well, YOU decide. After all, you are the one who has to live with the consequences.
