#161369 - DMX THRU Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Condensing what was said below:
1) The DMX spec expects full adherence to EIA-485-A-1998 so app notes on that will help you. DMX512 intends to be a super-set of characteristics so it treats with issues such as isolation which the EIA spec didn't. 2) According to the spec: Loop-Through Connection: a connector or terminal DMX512 port that connects the signals Data 1+, Data 1- and Data link common, and optionally Data 2+ and Data 2-, of one DMX512 port to another DMX512 port. Frequently abbreviated to Loop or Thru. 3)As you can see the spec fully spells out 'Through' but allows THRU as an abbreviation. regards, p |
