I think you are looking at something that is suitable for hobby investigation at best. Maybe has some learning value but is certainly not useful for the general case of careful and precise signal measurements which are essential to any and all serious MCU project work.

If the cost of a full real o-scope is holding you back then you should strongly consider at least to look at something designed to be a DC-coupled measurement device such as a USB based PC scope interface.
