I am gearing up to do a new high-speed USB multichannel audio device. Cypress EZ-USB FX2 looks like it could work, assuming of course that I add the relevant I2S interfaces in some kind of small FPGA, but the FX2 doesn't have in-circuit emulation like the SiLabs part, and I really don't want to go back to the bad old days of monitors and such. So it looks like a NetChip 2272 talking to a Spartan 3AN, which might end up being less expensive too. And Cypress' support really sucks. -a |
