Probal,
As this is not 8051-related, you should've posted it in the Chat rather than in the main message board. The main problem with these "adapters" is, not that they are not hardware compatible, but that the software intended for using them won't work with other than the designed chip. There is a slim chance you can program a "different" chip via SVF/XSVF or JAM/STAPL (look up what these file formats mean), if there is a "player" for the cable and a "generator" for the chip; but certainly not use any on-chip debugging facility. Generally, it's highly recommended to use the dedicated tools, unless you are not already proficient in the field (but then you'd not ask this question). JW |
