#148850 - Hello all and thanks for being here! |
This is just a quick post to say it is good that such a resource exits on the web and thanks for keeping it going and free from spam.
I am returning to 8051 microcontrollers after an absence of a around 10 years. I did have a SBC board built with serial, 8 bit input, separate 8 bit output, LCD text display with 20 characters by 2 lines, 8k ram and using the Atmel 89C51/52 chips. I had 6 boards made for me with the idea of starting many projects, but work and other commitments meant the whole thing was shelved. Anyway! a recent problem at work had me thinking I could solve this with a simple controller so out came the gear once again. I have just got back to the stage of delving into assembler again have found my old programmer and books and hope to get back some of the knowledge I have lost. I am scratching around for a 5 1/2" floppy drive to get the old 8051 assembler/simulator (Ayala book) software from the book onto a computer again, but in the meantime have found other assemblers. Anyway I waffle, hope I can help someone, sometime, other that that I will be monitoring for useful snippets of information. Cheers to the group Adrian |
