Hi Ap,
If this is a standard SOIC-8 package, then there are two things you should know. First, while pin-1 depressions are sometimes absent altogether, more often they are there but not particularly visible. It might help to look for the depression with oblique light. Second, the side with pin 1 should be chamfered along the top. You may need to look at the chip case from the end in order for the chamfered edge to be plainly seen. Good luck, Joe |
