I have some projects that could make use of off-the-shelf cases and membrane switches for some hobby projects (that still might be made in <50 lot quantities).

Regarding the cases I am aware of Pactec, Serpac, etc. Do any of you have any personal recommendations for PLASTIC case manufacturers on the cheap end? It's just smallish desktop or wall mount stuff, say 6" on a side or less. An inch thick or less.

Regarding the membranes, I know that Xymox makes "standard" membrane panels in various formats. Basically they are the membrane complete except for the top layer where the graphic is. Tres pricey. Any personal recommendations out there in a similar vein, or maybe a recommendation of a full custom house that is reasonable $... think hobbyist here. I don't what to pay $30 or $40 a panel. I can do switches cheaper than that. The "cheap" PCB discussion today got me wondering about the possibilities...
