But it is important to know what the OP actually means by "webcam" in this case - as that fundamentally alters the entire nature of the problem:

If he uses my definition, it's a standard web interface;

If he uses Ap Charles's definition, he needs a USB host, and drivers, and possibly there's an undocumented proprietary protocol between the Host and the camera;

If he uses some other definition, we're all guessing!
