To get clean, stable AC from a dodgy supply, a motor-generator set can be effective:
The motor is connected to the incoming ("dirty") AC supply, and drives a generator to give a "clean" supply. A suitably massive flywheel can be used to maintain the output through "dips" in the input. Also useful where you need to change the frequency of the supply... |
