Getting data from ADC or DAC is no different in Assembly than C in complexity (people have been doing it for years in assembly). Formatting and presenting data is a bit different as you need to be a bit smarter in assembly, but again, if you are comfortable with it, why switch. Maybe if you list out in psudo code what you are trying to accomplish with the D to A you will get some usefull suggestions from the folks here, many of them never touch the stuff (C stuff that is).
