Can somone suggest a source for image sensors please? preferrably with lens and to be connected to an FPGA for there are a couple of experiments I like to perform?
Resolution is not critical at this stage and I prefer monochrome for machine vision.
I did the following so far:
1. I bought three image sensors from ebay where they claim they are vv6300, when I got them it turned out that they are not vv6300 and I couldnt locate datasheet for the funny part number on them.
2. I bought 3 different types of webcams, opened them and tried to locate datasheet on the image sensor inside with no luck. They also have BGA package which makes home prototyping impossible.
3. I searched farnell and RS for image sensors with no luck.
4. The only place I could find some was Digi-Key, most of the image sensors they sell are out of stock or BGA package.
