If your stations are fixed, you can do things very simply with a very simple modulation scheme. If you are mobile, things are different.
For example, if you use a baud rate relatively low with respect to your carrier, then, if your stations are fixed, you can use FSK which is easy to generate and easy to decode. If you can find suitable packaged solutions using some other scheme that's fine, but if you have to build your own, FSK's about the easiest if you're not mobile. The advice to use cables first, then substitute the RF link, is a good one. That way you know you have a rock-solid protocol. RE |
