The interesting thing that we are working on now is its e-stinger feature which allows an operator to send the unit a message to tinker with a cars engine control unit so that it can be stopped by remote control.
We have that. In addition to the emergency switch in the bus, which can no be reset without a mechanic, the supervisor (who has video from the bus) can activate that the bus system announces "the bus will be disabled in 20 seconds" ... "the bus will be disabled in 15 seconds" ...... and then the bus system cuts the engine. Of course, the destination signs, without any indication inside the bus, switches to "Emergency, Call 911" so a bystander can alert the police. They made the move "Speed" just in time. Erik |
