#138858 - the "typical" job
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Many of the "IT engineers", even if they don't do the support etc. stuff but some "real programming", often repeat a relatively simple pattern.

When recently we tried to get a supplier for a system involving online collection and manipulation (mining) of data from our products deployed throughout the world, involving data conversion from the logs our products provide, most of the IT companies we approached turned down the job, claiming it is "too non-typical" and "involves too many interfaces"; and those who were mildly interested, required us to produce xml logs rather than our freestyle text (intended to be inspected by humans, suiting our needs perfectly until now, having written offline browser/data extractor for them myself - and I am no PC programmer)...
