#136374 - Tolerances Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Bob,
Would you please tell me how I can make an exact 50HZ sinewave The short answer is no. We can not. If you can specify some tolerance away from "exact," then the options will become plentiful. How close to exactly sinusoidal does your signal need to be, and how close to exactly 50 Hz does it need to be? I've never used an NCO (Numerically Controlled Oscillator), but if Steve says they're phenomenally accurate (and he did) then you can bet that you'll have a hard time exceeding one for accuracy. My best experience has been with tuned resonant circuits, which can be easilly and forgivingly driven by a DAC and a ยต-controller. Good luck, Joe |
