Hi,

I am developing a product based on CMOS image sensor. Right now I am just focussing on gathering information, development tools and like. To make my question simpler : - The product is to calculate the distance between two parallel lines. ( This distance varies with respect to time).

I have seen the various image sensors. I would need lens for it. I am working out my criteria for selection. Only one question puzzles me.

The lenses are available with and without IR filter. As per my knowledge the IR filter is useful for still photography. Would a lense without IR filter create problem for me.

Any suggestion are welcomed.
