#127656 - LPKF Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Jon,
I do my boards on an LPFK C60. Unfortunately, the software is proprietary to the machine. What kind of machine are you using? And if you don't already own one, I would strongly suggest that you deliberate your decision carefully before trying to mill PWBs with a CNC intended for machining. My concern would be that you will be prevented from using newer parts as the pitch gets smaller. I just ran headlong into a similar problem with SiLabs CP2102. It is only available in the MLP-28 package (28 pads around the perimeter of a 5 mm square part). As it turns out, making the board, and the solder paste stencil, is not a problem for the LPKF, but I had to order some special equipment to place the part without smearing the solderpaste across the 0.008" gap between pads. I also have a small CNC combination machine in my shop, and I've got to tell you I just don't think it would do very well trying to make this PWB. But that's just my thought. Good luck. Joe P.S. I am sending a link to your post to someone who may or may not be able to help you. He has a product that uses a camera to make precision corrections for CNC milling operations and there's a chance that he might have something like you're looking for. |
