You have to be able to make the desision when a project can be done entirely in assembler and when its more affective in terms of re-usable code and more people working on a project to work in a HLL.
To many times I find people absolutly will not ever change from what they know be it assembler or HLL to anything else and that when things go wrong. Assembler and HLL each have their advsntages and disadvantages but its like people who only ever use one processor. it was quite funny yesterday I was seeing a customer and he was showing me and a college round and he took great pride in showing off his products and he was saying we only ever use pics for our products and my college told me that I visibly flinched when he told us that. |
