The plan for the project is to have differnet features in the application available at differnt price points
1) are you worried about someone hacking the device to make it a higher price point?
2) can you afford a ~1% reduction in throughput?

if 1) no (it requires considerable skill to do so) and 2) yes, then just make a table of bits for "feature allowed" put all other files in a library and you are done. You can even develop a PC app that allow any employee of your company to make a given "price point"
